2018 Team Fundraisers

It is crucial that we meet our fundraising targets to ensure a safe and successful season.  In a perfect world we would have warm weather every day, flat water, a huge endowment fund, and the boat club would be right next to the high school.  Unfortunately, this is not the case.  Fundraising is part of the game.

Parent’s Pasta Dinner

Thursday February 1, 2018 6-9pm

Crestwood High School Cafeteria

1501 N. Beach Daly RD Dearborn Heights, MI

This covers the costs of meals at regattas.  The Crestwood Rowing Booster Club provides meals to the team at regattas from these dollars.  Regattas in which food is provided: Hebda Cup, Wy-Hi, Midwest, and London.  Rowers can fundraise these dollars by selling 4 tickets ($12.50 each) to the Crestwood Rowing Parents’ Pasta Dinner.  (Tickets sold beyond 4 will be applied toward other fundraisers). fundraisers.

Rowing equipment is NOT cheap. In order to keep our fleet in good repair the $100 equipment fee goes toward updates and maintenance. Rowers can fundraise these dollars by selling 4 tickets ($25 each) to the Bowling Fundraiser. (Tickets sold beyond 4 do NOT apply to other fundraisers).

Each regatta charges a fee to enter races.  There are also travel costs as in fuel to get our boats to regattas, bus/van rentals, and hotel fees.  Rowers can fundraise these dollars by collection pledges for the Erg-a-thon and by selling t-shirts.  Each t-shirt sold raises $5. (Funds raised beyond $175 will apply to other fundraisers).

The Wyandotte Boat Club assesses each team a fee to use the facility.  This fee goes toward utilities, fuel for coaches boats, local regatta expenses, and cleaning.  Rowers can fundraise these dollars by selling $100 in Ads for the WY-HI Regatta Program.  *Please note we capture approximately 80% of ad sales, so in order to meet the $100 goal, you need to sell $125.  (Ads sold beyond $125 will apply to other fundraisers at a rate of 80%).
